Photos and update #1

Hi everyone,

I (Mr T) have just received a couple of photos of the girls at the airport, and Mrs Melvin has put the following comment on the blog, which I've reproduced here.

The girls are all installed with their host families and a fabulous welcome at the train station with banners and cheering . It may take a while to get the girls on the blog as they adjust to the Japanese keyboard and instructions we can't get off into English. It is so hot it is like being in an oven .

Miss Woodward had also put the following comment on (I have no idea what it says I'm afraid...):

たのしみにしています!あなたは?

I'll post updates and/or photos as I recieve them, until the group get the hang of blogging in Japanese! (Mrs. Melvin, you could probably email the updates to Deb, and I'll post them on if you like?)

Mr. T

Getting ready for the trip

By now you should all have your host families names and hopefully some information about them . You may want to talk to some of the younger girls who did have your host sisiter the last time.
There was a typhoon in Tokyo on friday with lots of rain so I do suggest you get a rain coat from Kathmandu at $ 7.95 . Light and not fashionable but could be good and maybe a fold up umbrella .
Your teacher leader will be ringing you this week . Please contact us if you have any other worries.
